If you prefer to simply observe these gentle giants, you’re welcome to stay on the boat. But for those seeking a closer encounter, snorkeling with the whale sharks is a truly unforgettable experience. You might even spot sea turtles, dolphins, and manta rays from a unique perspective.
The crystal-clear waters off Isla Mujeres and Cancún provide a stunning backdrop for this extraordinary wildlife experience. Whale sharks feed exclusively on plankton and are unbothered by the presence of humans, so there’s no need to fear getting close. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to explore vibrant coral reefs, some of Mexico’s top diving spots, as part of our excursion, which runs from the end of May through September from Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cancún, and the Riviera Maya. Convenient hotel pickup is included.

You may encounter large schools of fish or predators like rays and sharks.
